Carla Sapsford, Director
Carla brings an analytical and journalistic approach to communications and knowledge management.
Since coming to live in the Netherlands in 2004, she has advised and executed projects for blue chip companies including ABN AMRO, Unilever and Shell Global Solutions. Carla specialises in the creation of multimedia corporate systems for retaining knowledge within companies - two quite distinct applications of the same inquisitive journalistic mindset.
Her consulting has included: multi-million euro media value generation for Volvo Ocean Race sailing sponsorship; knowledge management interventions with top executives leading to multi-million Euro contracts; media training in times of crisis; social network mapping to maximise effective long-term scenario planning; and how to manage internal communications during times of great change.
Carla previously worked as a producer for ABC News in New York, wrote for the Columbia Journalism Review and various North American newspapers, and produced for CNBC Europe. She holds two masters degrees from Columbia University in New York in journalism and international relations and is a Spanish and American citizen. She earned an undergraduate degree in international relations from Wellesley College. A native English speaker, she is fluent also in Dutch, Spanish and Portuguese.
